2010 SCS Select Camp information
The 2010 SC Swimming Select Camp will be held September 25-26 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Selection Process:
- Qualifying period - September 1, 2009 through July 25, 2010
- Long-course meter times only are used; no converted times
- Swimmers selected based on their age on the first day of the current SCS Long-course State Championship
- 11-12 year old - Top-8 each male and female based on USA-S IMX score
- 13-14 year old - Fastest time in each IMX event, next 4 highest IMX score, male and female
- 15-18 year old - Fastest time in each Olympic event, excluding 50 free, male and female. Graduating Seniors are excluded
- 13-14 and 15-18 year olds who earn selection in an individual event will do so in Hy-Tek publication order - freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly then IM events.
- Swimmers selected in individual events will be selected using the results in the SC Swimming Tabulator's database. Coaches - You are responsible for sending all meet results to swimjim@sccoast.net so the database is accurate.
Coaches will be notified of swimmers' selections usually within 72 hours of the end of the current SC Swimming Long-course State Championship. Swimmers and parents will have 1 week to declare their intent to attend. If a swimmer does not wish to participate, the next available swimmer will be selected and will have 1 week to delcare intent to attend.

- Parents are responsible to deliver swimmer to Registration site between 12-1:00pm on September 25 and pick up swimmer no later than 12:00pm on September 26
- SC Swimming will provide lodging, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, transportation from pool to hotel and back, other gifts for swimmers
- Parents MUST complete and return all required forms and checks to Camp Director PRIOR to arriving to camp, including copy of insurance.
