The Lose of a Friend and Coach

 
Dear SC Swimming,

It is with a truly sadden heart that I have to say that yesterday we all lost a dear friend and coach, Ed Miller, after a long an courageous battle with cancer. Ed was the coach of the Spartan Splash School swim team based out of Spartanburg. Ed was also the Safety Chair for South Carolina Swimming and served as a Zone team coach on numerous occasions. He put everything he had into coaching his kids as well as being a friend to all coaches and parents on deck, and coaching wasn’t even his full time job. However, if you asked anyone that knew him they would say it had to be his full time job because of all the time and effort he put into the Spartan Splash School team. That was just the type of Coach/Human being he was.

We all might’ve lost of friend yesterday, but God gained a great one! Please keep Ed and his Family in your prayers during this difficult time.
