Alright SC, here it is, our first Sectional update from this past weekend.  State Records!  Sectional Champs!  Best Times  All great stuff!  Congratulations to ALL who represented South Carolina Swimming so well at Sectionals!  Coaches, if you do not see your info in here, please send me what you would like posted and I will add it to this write up.  These are the results in the order that I received them:

Mt. Pleasant Swim Club:

800 Free Relay State Record: 15-16 Boys 8:00.15 was the final time.  The swimmers for MPSC on this relay are Ben Hillebrand, Matthew Adams, James Koval, Travis Morrin.

Mathew Adams:  SC Record in the 15-16 100m Free with a time of 52.94

Travis Morrin:  Sectional Champ in the Mile

Carolina Aquatics:

Ben Spinek and Megan Charnovich competed in the 2012 Senior Sectionals in Greensboro NC.  Will Hicks and Drew Rutledge were unable to attend.

Carolina Aquatics is very pleased with their results, including new best times for Ben Spinek in the 200 Breast and 400 IM.  Unrested and unshaved, we are proud of their efforts and representation at Senior Sectionals.

Myrtle Beach Riptides:

Keenan Lineback – 2 Event Wins in the 200 fly and 1500 free; led all SCS swimmers with event wins!  In the closest finish of the evening, Myrtle Beach Riptide's Keenan Lineback nipped Julianna Prim at the finish, 2:19.34 to 2:19.37, to win the women's 200m fly.  Lineback also turned in the fastest time in the women's 1500m free with a 17:23.63--a personal best by 8-seconds.  Very nice swims and a GREAT way to represent SC!!!

Rock Hill Rays:

Jacob Kohlhoff had a great meet, swimming all best times and making finals in the 100, 200 and 400 meter freestyles.  Zach Piedt also had an outstanding meet, making finals and swimming best times in the 50, 100, 200 and 400 meter freestyles.  Riley League swam a personal best in the 100 m breaststroke.  Izzi Wooodard also made finals in the 100 m breaststroke.  Great job, RAYS swimmers!

Very nice job swimmers and coaches!  Keep up the GREAT work!  South Carolina Swimming can now officially be considered the BEST distance freestyle LSC in the Southeast with a sweep of the mile! Thank you for helping SC be the best it can be!  Hopefully more info to come!
