LC State Write Ups from Individual Coaches

Here is what coaches have sent me so far:

State Write Up for LTP:  From Head Coach Jesup Szatkowski

This past weekend, LTP swimmers participated in the Long Course State Meet.  In addition, swimmers that did not qualify for the state meet had the opportunity to race in the Finale meet.  Scores were computed for the state meet swimmers and teams.  Highlights are below- congratulations to everyone for a job well done!

LTP finished 13th place overall.  The Girls’ Team- placed 11^th and the Boys Team came in 14th, beating several larger and much longer established clubs around the State.

Caty Hueske and Peyton Wilson were named to the 2012 South Carolina Zone Team based on their performance at the state meet.  They are currently en route to Houston, Texas for this championship meet.  Race fast!

For our state meet and finale meet swimmers combined, we had 124 best times and several swimmers pick up NEW state cuts at the finale meet, which they can swim in the short course state meet in February: Casey Buck, Richard Cook, Maddie McQuillan & Emma Overby.

MPSC State Update:  From Head Coach Doug Fetchen

A breif update to all  the success  MPSC has had this summer.

The 15-16 boys broke the State record for the 400 Freestyle Relay.  Also, MPSC boys picked up the 800 Free Relay Short Course Junior Cut--nice swims!!!

Congratulations Marlins!!!

In the Overall team scores Southern Marlins Racing Team ended up in 3^rdplace behind Y-Spartaquatics and Team Greenville.   We are the top team in the Low Country!!!  In the Girls team scores we ended up 2^ndbehind Y-Spartaquatics and in the Boys team scores we ended up in 6^thplace. 

 

First time Junior Qualifier: Micah Bohon in the 200 IM.  Micah had multiple B-Cuts for Summer Juniors Nationals, but got her 1^stAutomatic Cut in the 200 IM.

Congratulations to all swimmers that participated in the State Championship and Finale.  It was a very successful meet with a lot of wonderful accomplishments and fast swimming.  Good luck to Emma Gourdie at her final championship meet the 2012 Southern Zone Senior Championship and good luck to Micah Bohon at the 2012 Junior National Championship.  We know that you will make the Marlin family proud.
