Carson Davis of MPSC wins Wendy's HS Heisman Award

Summerville's Carson Davis is named South Carolina Wendy's High School Heisman Award winner!

Carson Davis is a swimmer for Mount Pleasant Swim Club, and the Green Wave.  Carson placed in the top 10 in two freestyle events at the state meet.

He has a 4.8 GPA and is No. 3 in his class of 582. He is the student body vice president and is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish and math honor societies.

"It's quite an honor," said Davis who plans to attend either the University of South Carolina or the College of Charleston. "I was pretty surprised."

Created in 1994 by Wendy's and the Heisman Memorial Trust, the Wendy's High School Heisman Award recognizes outstanding high school seniors nationwide who excel in athletics, academics and community leadership.
