4.)  We have a food drive this year at Allstate spearheaded by Ashleigh Bennett--here is a note from Ashleigh Bennett, Jr Athlete Rep:  Hello everyone. This year at Allstate, the athlete committee will be sponsoring a food drive. Before the banquet begins, athletes, parents, and coaches can drop off canned and other non-perishable food items. There will be a little competition to see who can bring the most canned food. The team that raises the most food will be recognized at some point during the banquet. Please spread the word to your teams and let them now about this amazing opportunity! Also if anyone has any suggestions about where in Columbia the food can be donated to please let me know.
Thanks!
Ashleigh Bennett (junior athlete rep)
Thanks a bunch for putting this together Ashleigh!

5.)  We have our first Athlete News Letter in years!  And, I must say, it is excellent!!!  A big Thank You to Courtlyn Fields, SCS Athlete Rep, for putting this together!  Please see the attachment or the website for a copy of this.  Coaches, please pass this on to your athletes or let them know it is on the website under "News" and "Newsletter".  Also, feel free to post it to your clubs website as well--there is some GREAT information for our athletes here and we rely on you as coaches to pass this on to them--thanks!

6.)  More Good News!  SCS has been invited back to the Open Water Select Camp for 2014!  The good people at NCS said it was such a huge success having SCS join the camp with them that they cannot wait to have us back--NICE!  Remember, to have the opportunity to qualify for the camp, you have to swim in the Open Water State Champs hosted by CAT this summer--more info to come!

I hope everyone one is well, and I would just like to say that we are very proud of the job our SCS Athlete Reps are doing!  You are setting a GREAT example--keep up the GREAT work!  We can always use more athlete involvement for SCS--please have your athletes see the newsletter for more details!
I hope everyone is finishing up Championship Meet Season in strong fashion--I will see you next weekend at Palmetto State--please let me know if you need anything in the meantime--I am happy to abide :)  Thanks--GO SCS!!!
