Important House of Delegates Update - Meetings Rescheduled to Sunday, October 9th
IMPORTANT HOUSE OF DELEGATES UPDATE - MEETINGS RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9th
Hurricane Ian looks as though it may cause some havoc as it passes through our state this weekend. Predictions are that the low country is going to experience the worst of the storm, with high winds and 3-5 inches of rain predicted, and it looks to continue through Columbia on Saturday and into the upstate on Sunday morning.
While HOD is extremely important, so is the safety of our membership, therefore the Board of Directors is making the decision to move the meetings to next Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1:00 p.m. to avoid any issues with the storm. The venue will remain the Hilton Garden Inn Columbia/Northeast.
Some of you may wonder, "Why not just do it virtually?" We have done it successfully in the past, however we feel there is an important element of in-person communication that is lost when done virtually, and there may be power outages from the storm that may prevent members from participating.
