Dear Anderson Swim Club Partner: On January 14, 2011 the City of Anderson announced the closing of Sheppard Swim Center, the last public pool facility in Anderson County. With this decision, scores of residents using the pool for rehabilitation, competition, and education were tossed out into the street. South Carolina’s Kent Easty was announced as the recipient of the Maxwell Excellence Award by USA Swimming and Swimming World Magazine.
