Wednesday, August 1st: Day 2 of Zones, from Rockwall, TX—From Head Zone Coach, Jimmy Smith Today began as yesterday ended... hot! The weather was for sunny skies and temps at 107 degrees! As for competition, the long travel day on Monday and getting settled on Tuesday kinda caught up to the swimmers, particularly with a 6:00am wake-up for warm-up. From Head Zone Coach Jimmy Smith: Monday - the day of travel! The 2012 SC zone team departed Columbia for Atlanta. During the trip the athletes and the coaches all had an opportunity to get to know each other. About halfway through the trip, an impromptu edition of South Carolina swimmers have talent (or not!!!) took place. Several 11-12 year olds did a rendition of Justin "what's a " Bieber's "boyfriend."
