The final night of competition from Rockwall, TX from Head Zone Coach Jimmy Smith: In the final night of competition, SCS was able to have 2 swimmers return for finals. Elaine Zhou earned a new best time in the 200 IM (2:29.9) and placed 7th. Elaine followed that up with another best time in the 200 Fly (2:23.8) and raced to a 4th place finish. Zones Update Day 4: From Head Zone Coach Jimmy Smith So the temperature was a cool 105, with strong winds and clear skies. The night started off with Lillie Anderson making her first podium with an 8th place finish in the 100 backstroke at 1:07.78. Wednesday, August 1st: Day 2 of Zones, from Rockwall, TX—From Head Zone Coach, Jimmy Smith Today began as yesterday ended... hot! The weather was for sunny skies and temps at 107 degrees! From Head Zone Coach Jimmy Smith: Monday - the day of travel! The 2012 SC zone team departed Columbia for Atlanta. During the trip the athletes and the coaches all had an opportunity to get to know each other.
